（中央社記者王承中台北26日電）外交部今天說，美國總統歐巴馬（Barack Obama）在「歐習會」後記者會主動提台灣關係法，顯示美國信守對台灣的安全承諾，中華民國政府將持續推升台美合作關係，促進兩岸和平。
歐巴馬在與中國大陸國家主席習近平會面後，在聯合記者會上主動重申，美國信守基於「美中三公報」與「台灣關係法」的「一個中國」政策。
外交部表示，中華民國政府感謝歐巴馬明確提及台灣關係法，繼去年11月12日，歐巴馬於北京公開提及台灣關係法後，再次強調這項台美關係基石，顯示美國信守對台灣的安全承諾。
外交部說，近年來恢復且持續鞏固台美雙方互信，溝通管道多元且暢通無阻。習近平訪美前，台灣與美方保持密切聯繫及溝通，確保台灣利益不受影響，獲美方善意回應。
外交部表示，美國行政部門資深官員國家安全顧問萊思（Susan Rice）、國家安全會議亞洲事務資深主任康達（Daniel Kritenbrink）及國務院亞太助理國務卿羅素（Daniel Russel）都重申美國長期以來一貫立場不變，美國將信守台灣關係法，顯示美國完全了解台灣立場，以實際行動展現支持台灣。
外交部表示，未來中華民國政府將在這項既有基礎上，持續推升台美合作關係，促進兩岸和平與穩定。1040926
